Cash-strapped Zimbabwe unable to move forward with B5

In Zimbabwe, a lack of funding for biodiesel blending has left 30,000 liters of biodiesel unused and another 130 metric tons of seeds waiting to be pressed into fuel. Policy is in place for B5 but the funding gap in order to make it a reality has impeded the project spearheaded by state-owned Finealt Engineering. At least 6,000ha of land have been set aside for jatropha growing but the project requires nearly $12 million of investment to move forward.
