NSW regulator looking for perfect pricing structure for ethanol

In Australia, New South Wales’ pricing regulator, the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal, has opened a public comment period to seek input on wholesale pricing of ethanol ahead of a transition to 6% ethanol blending from the current 2.5%. The regulator will also consult directly with producers, blenders, retailers and government agency to find the middle ground between a price that encourages production, the oil companies will buy to blend and consumers will be willing to pay for at the pump.
