US ethanol production slips to 15.10 billion gallon annual rate

In Washington, according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 962,000 barrels per day—or 40.40 million gallons daily. That is down 51,000 b/d from the all-time high of 1.013 million b/d the week before.

The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 985,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 15.10 billion gallons. Stocks of ethanol stood at 21.1 million barrels. That is a 0.3% decrease from last week. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 412.2 million gallons (9.815 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 928,000 b/d. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 9.80%.
