June 27, 2016 |

In Iowa, a former fundraiser for Energae LP that was a significant owner of Permeate Refining is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to failure to pay federal income taxes for employees working at the ethanol plant. He could spend up to five years in prisons and pay monetary penalities. He was indicted on multiple counts in January and is said to owe the IRS $85,267. He has already been under scrutiny for selling tax credits based on non-corn ethanol production that the state later declared invalid.
