May ethanol exports down 14% on year while DDGS exports to China tumble

In Washington, the USDA said May ethanol exports were down 14% on the year to 55.7 million gallons, but cumulative exports for the year were up 6%. Canada was the main destination market for May ethanol exports, followed by China. DDGS exports were also down in May, through not as much, at 1.06 million metric tons, down 9% on the year. China was the main export destination by exports to the country for the year were down 59%. On the other hand, biodiesel exports are performing well with 47,040 metric tons exported during May, most of which went to Canada.
