Brazil wants ethanol to be part of EU-Mercosur trade deal

In Belgium, Argentina isn’t the only country that wants Europe to make room for its biofuels as part of the current trade negotiations with Mercosur, but Brazil also wants in on the party. The country’s trade minister recently met with the EU’s trade commissioner where he stressed the importance of including ethanol trade in the forthcoming agreement. Ethanol and beef were included in the exchange of offers that took place in May, items that had been left out of previous negotiations.
