Oil marketing companies seek 20 million liters of biodiesel to test blending options

In India, oil marketing companies have floated a tender to buy 20 million liters of biodiesel, mostly from Andhra Pradesh but also from Gujarat and Tamil Nadu between July and September, in an effort to start blending. No blending mandate has yet been set but a goal of 20% blending by 2017 has been identified. Suppliers must offer lots of 500,000 liters minimum by July 25 and will be awarded on a lowest cost basis per location.
