US ethanol production rises to 15.15 billion gallon rate

According to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 1.004 million barrels per day (b/d)—or 42.17 million gallons daily. That is up 20,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 988,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 15.15 billion gallons. Stocks of ethanol stood at 21.1 million barrels. That is a 2.0% decrease from last week. Imports of ethanol were zero b/d, down from 10,000 last week. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 406.2 million gallons (9.671 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 919,000 b/d. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.38%.
