Reuters poll shows drivers only care about their pockets and not biofuel content

July 20, 2016 |

In New York state, a Reuters poll conducted June 28-July 5 of about 1,500 drivers shows that about half of drivers don’t know what ethanol is and about the same pay little or no attention to the fuel the use at the pump. About 93% of respondents said price was the main driver for choosing which fuel to buy while 80% said the gas station’s location was a priority. Though the biofuels industry appears to not have been successful in convincing drivers of the benefits of biofuels, nor has the oil industry been successful in convincing them of the evils either.
