Malaysian Biodiesel Association teams with India’s Andhra Pradesh on palm biodiesel

In Malaysia, Malaysian Biodiesel Association has signed an agreement with India’s Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board to explore potential collaboration, looking to a future biodiesel blending mandate in India and the palm oil giant’s possibility of exporting feedstock or fuel to supply that demand. Currently, India produces about 600,000 metric tons of biodiesel annually from palm oil and the MBA says it could supply another 1.7 million tons on top of that volume to fill the supply gap.
