DDGS prices fall to level of corn futures

July 25, 2016 |

In Iowa, DDGS prices have fallen to around the value of corn having come down from 120% of the commodity’s value. As a result, buyers are hovering on the sidelines waiting to see which direction prices turn which can only continue to weigh on them. As the impending corn crop gets closer to harvest, buyers are likely to remain standoff-ish. China only bought about 20% of their up-to-now standard volumes, leaving supplies for other minor buyers to step in and take advantage of supplies and lower prices like South Korea, Turkey, Mexico, Vietnam and Thailand.
