EPA says 1.7 billion RINs generated in June

In Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency said more than 1.7 billion RINs were generated in June including 14.11 million D3 cellulosic RINs. Of the total, 2.02 million came from ethanol while the remainder were generated from renewable CNG and renewable LNG. The year-to-date total for D3 RINs is now 76.97 million. For D5 advanced biofuel RINs, 8.21 million were generated during June, bringing the total to 32.9 million for the year. The total number of RINs generated through June is nearly 9.21 billion.
