Chinese DDGS demand rallies but still well below last year

August 9, 2016 |

In China, the country became the largest import destination for US-produced DDGS for the second month in a row in June, bringing in a total of 370,898 metric tons worth $74.3 million. Imports for the month were 27% higher than in May but the volume is still 41% lower on the year while the value is 31% less. The country has been importing less DDGS since an anti-dumping investigation began and the central government began releasing domestic corn stocks into the market.
