Brazil to expand feedstocks eligible for biodiesel social seal program in 2017

In Brazil, the Special Secretariat for Family Agriculture and Agrarian Development is seeking to expand the National Program for Biodiesel Production and Use (PNPB) in 2017 to animal byproducts as feedstocks including beef tallow, fish oil and chicken fat beyond the current soybean oil allowing more families to participate in the program. More than 900,000 farming families produce beef cattle making tallow and good opportunity for them to add value from the biodiesel social seal program.
