BioFuelNet calls for funding proposals: outreach, analysis, novel approaches to feedstocks, bio-conversion

In Canada, BioFuelNet Canada called for proposals is to identify potential research to be conducted in the period of 2016 to 2017. The deadline for applications is 9/1/16.

BFN identified the following areas for research and funding:

1. Social Outreach. BFN will consider any application that contributes to the overall goal of improving the network’s understanding of public perception of biofuels and associated bio-products, and/or contributes to public outreach and education.

2. Techno-economic analysis. BFN will consider any application that contributes to the overall goal of improving the network’s understanding of the techno-economic aspects of production pathways for advanced biofuels and associated bio-products.

3. Novel approaches. BFN will consider any application that contributes to the overall goal of improving the network’s ability to enhance the advanced biofuels sector — including Feedstock availability, Conversion, Utilization or Social, economic and environmental sustainability.
