IFC provides 10-year $47 million financing package to CerradinhoBio

In Brazil, the International Finance Corp. will provide 10-year financing to CerradinhoBio for $47 million to help support the growth of the company’s ethanol and cogeneration activities in the Goias region. The funding will boost ethanol production 28% and double power produced from cogeneration. Last season, the company harvested 4.8 million metric tons of sugarcane and exported 260GWh of electricity to the national grid while the crush is expected to reach 5 million tons for 2015/16.
