In Thailand, the government is looking to boost the biodiesel blending mandate to 5% from the current 3% in an effort to support palm oil producers after lobbying by growers, crushers and biodiesel producers. The energy ministry is consulting with counterparts in agriculture and commerce ministries to confirm palm oil supply availability, reserves and potential demand.
