Aemetis expects first Edeniq D3 RINs to be generated soon from two projects

In California, Edeniq’s future owner Aemetis says it expects the company’s first EPA registration of D3 RINs resulting from the implementation of its cellulosic ethanol technology is expected this year from Pacific Ethanol’s Stockton. The technology is also being installed at Aemetis’ 60 million gallon ethanol plant in Keyes where D3 registration is expected during the first quarter of 2017. Final paperwork for Aemetis’ takeover of Edeniq is underway now. Basic engineering is currently taking place for the 8 million gallon ethanol plant it is developing using Lanzatech’s technology that will use orchard wood, forest waste and energy crops as feedstock.
