National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center receives grant to study partnerships

In Illinois, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center as well as two departments of Madison County have been awarded a non-financial grant to support the study of ways to connect economic and workforce development in Madison County to education. The hope is the study will outline ways to boost job creation and training of employees while connecting all types of energy providers. Industry from fossil fuels to biofuels will be included in the study as well as other higher education providers such as Lewis and Clark Community College and Southwestern Illinois College.
