Green Plains holds ribbon cutting at Hopewell ethanol plant

In Virginia, Green Plains continued its big week with the ribbon cutting of its newly acquired and renovated ethanol plant in Hopewell. Local elected officials as well as senior representatives from GPRE were present at the event celebrating the October 2015 acquisition from Future Fuels LLP for $18.25 million. Inclusion of corn oil extraction technology is among $7 million of planned investments for the ethanol facility despite it being a recent-build, commissioned only in 2014.
