US Bankruptcy Court awards KAAPA winning bid for Abengoa’s Ravenna plant

In Missouri, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in St. Louis said that KAAPA Ethanol is the successful bidder for the Abengoa ethanol plant in Ravenna, Nebraska at $115 million. KAAPA’s CEO said he hopes closure on the plant will be completed by the end of September. KAAPA was the only bidder for the Ravenna plant. In total, Abengoa’s fourth ethanol plants were sold for $355 million, with the other three purchased by Green Plains Renewable Energy.
