INEOS Bio selling 8 MGY demo plant in Florida

In Florida, INEOS Bio is putting its $130 million 8 million gallon per year demonstration facility up for sale, though it hasn’t said why or how much it’s asking for. The plant has produced ethanol from a wide range of waste feedstocks from yard clippings to pallet wood waste. The facility is thought to have produced very little ethanol, likely related to issues from high levels of hydrogen cyanide that interfered with the production process. The company achieved all of the milestones required by the grants it received. Currently the facility is being ramped back up to show to potential buyers.
