Donald Trump accidentally backtracks on RFS stance and then retracts the “mistake”

In Washington, a policy paper was published on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign website slamming the Renewable Fuel Standard’s system of RIN credits for compliance with the RFS’s biofuel blending mandate, in line with one of his billionaire backers Carl Icahn. Later the paper was removed with staffers saying it was an early draft that was published accidentally and that Trump remains in favor of the RFS. Reuters reported that the now eliminated policy fact sheet condemned RINs and the RFS for destroying small and medium-sized refiners, like the one Icahn owns.
