US ethanol inventories slip along with production

In Washington, ethanol prices are likely to see further support from the market following the Energy Information Agency’s weekly report showing that inventories fell by 200,000 barrels in the week ending September 16 to 20 million barrels, the lowest since December, while production also fell by more than 2% to 981,000 bpd last week. Even though production fell on the week, it was still nearly 5% higher than during the same reporting period last year.
