October 3, 2016 |

In the Philippines, Metro Pacific Investments will invest $311.3 million in a 30MW-40MW facility in Quezon City using 3,000 metric tons of MSW as feedstock daily processed using New Jersey-based Covanta’s technology. Covanta has 50 other power projects around the world from 20 million tons of MSW. The project comes on the back of the cancelled MSW-based project with Singapore’s GGI Energy that was meant to produce up to 6MW of power and 10,000 liters of biodiesel per day.
