South Dakota Supreme Court paves the way for Ringneck Energy to start construction

October 3, 2016 |

In South Dakota, the state’s supreme court overturned an appeal by opponents to the county’s conditional use permit for the proposed Ringneck Energy ethanol plant in Onida. The 11 opponents who live very near to the proposed site claim the facility is a threat to them and others. The facility can now begin construction as the pending court case was the final obstacle to getting started. The signed, official air quality permit was received September 15 after being approved August 18.
