Philippines boosts January monthly ethanol allocation to 75,835 cu m

In the Philippines, the local monthly allocation for ethanol blending in January 2017 was set at 75,835 cu m, well above that set for Q4 2016 at 62,400 cu m and just over Q1 2016 at 74,710 cu m. A new ethanol distillery is expected to come online next year, adding 40,000 cu m/year capacity to bring the country’s total to 322,000 cu m/year from 11 facilities. Delivered imported ethanol is currently around $490.33/cu while domestically-produced ethanol is 2.5 times higher at $1,240/cu m, as of September.
