WikiLeaks releases Clinton campaign emails weighing repeal of RFS in 2015

In Washington, WikiLeaks has published emails from Hillary Clinton’s campaign in April 2015 that explored a position that would repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard but the move was pushed aside as it would have distanced her too much from the Obama administration and key Midwestern states. Advisors looked at repealing the standard, reforming it and maintaining the status quo, in the end choosing to look at how to reform the law so that it promoted more use of advanced biofuels.
