Fuel retailers angry about Australia’s new E10 rules

October 27, 2016 |

In Australia, a rule will be published on Friday requiring fuel retailers who sell more than 900,000 liters of gasoline per quarter will be required to offer E10 at the pump, well above the 250,000 liters per quarter that ethanol major Manildra had proposed. Fuel retailers are up in arms about the policy shift, saying it is pandering to the ethanol company who has been a major political donor of the current government’s ruling party.
