Malaysia to start B10 implementation roll out December 1

November 7, 2016 |

In Malaysia, the government’s long awaited B10 mandate will come into effect on December 1, first starting in Johor and then spreading throughout the country. On the same date, B7 will be implemented nationwide. Technical justifications are required for not using the B10 blend while vehicle manufactures like BMW are recommending drivers use Euro 5 diesel that will stay at B7 and remain available at some filling stations. The government expects the B10 blend, when fully implemented, to boost palm oil demand by 750,000 metric tons per year.
