In Brazil, the country was a net importer of ethanol in October thanks to 72 million liters of imports, 37% more than September when it was still a net exporter. Exports in October were the lowest since April 2015 at 66.3 million liters, down 55% on the month and 75% on the year, making the market a net importer of 5.7 million liters. Nearly all of the imports came from the US via the northeastern ports of Suape and Itaqui.
