Malaysia delays B10 blending indefinitely due to high CPO prices

November 15, 2016 |

In Malaysia, the government announced that it will delay the implementation of its B10 blending mandate yet again after the most recent December 1 deadline was found to be unrealistic due to the price difference between fossil diesel and palm oil-based biodiesel. A new date has not been set yet as the government doesn’t want the policy to become a financial burden for consumers. Compliance by the industrial sector with the existing B7 mandate was expected for December 1 as well.
