Indonesia expects to hit B20 mandate this year despite water contamination hiccup

In Indonesia, Pertamina has suffered a major setback with water contamination of biodiesel supplies in Jakarta, West Java and Banten two weeks ago that has slowed down sales significantly, but even so the government along with the palm oil industry believe the country’s 20% blending targets will still be met this year. The goal is blend as much as 3.2 billion liters of biodiesel in 2017. Following cleaning operations, Pertamina expects to begin selling blended fuel in the impacted reagions again this week.
