Dalby Biorefinery ramping up production to supply Queensland’s E3 mandate

November 24, 2016 |

In Australia, United Ethanol’s Dalby Biorefinery is ramping up production ahead of Queensland’s 3% ethanol blending mandate coming into force January 1, boosting its demand for feed grain from local farmers. Demand next year should hit 200,000 metric tons, up from 180,000 tons this year and 140,000 tons last year. Last year the facility switched over to producing DDGS after installing a dryer that boosted its product from the previous wet version that had only a seven day shelf life and was hard to market.
