Tight supplies mixed with unseasonal demand lifts T2 ethanol to four-month high

December 1, 2016 |

In the Netherlands, T2 ethanol prices hit a four-month high on Wednesday following several weeks of gains thanks to a tight market and a bullish mood in the European market heading into the last stretch of the year.  Imports from Central America typically enter the European market during this period but they are missing at the moment just in time for unseasonal increases in demand. Rising oil prices is helping to drive increased hedging that is in turn supporting bullish sentiments.
