In Thailand, for the first time in several years a shortage of ethanol supplies are expected this month. Fuel retailers have already asked the government to dip into reserves to meet demand but those are only sufficient for 3.5 days due to daily consumption of 3.8 million liters on average. The shortage could last between 5 and 6 days so the industry is meeting with the government this week to sort out a short-term solution.
