December 6, 2016 |

In India, the transport minister has set the challenge to Nagpur Municipal Corporation to transition its entire bus fleet to biofuels. The NMC recently introduced 20 ethanol-powered buses following a two-year trial. The green line will be managed by Scania whom the minister has called upon to open a bus manufacturing facility in the region. A total of 55 green buses are being introduced, but he called for the immediate tendering of 100 biogas-powered and electric buses. The NMC’s fleet will have 487 buses.
