Brazil’s hydrous ethanol sales fall more than 15% in November

December 20, 2016 |

In Brazil, hydrous ethanol sales fell more than 15% to 1.04 billion liters in November while anhydrous sales rose slightly to 827.05 million liters, indicating drivers’ preferences to continue to pump gasoline blended with anhydrous ethanol thanks to lower prices rather than pure anhydrous ethanol. Petrobras recently announced an increase in gasoline prices but that didn’t take effect until December. About 789.46 million liters were produced during the first half of November while 53.89 million liters of ethanol were destined for export.
