In the UK, Costa Coffee has teamed with bio-bean to collect more than 3,000 metric tons of coffee grinds from around 850 stores around the country in order to produce pellets and logs for producing heat. The company’s logs are available for purchase on Amazon. The partnership helps the start up company work at scale nationally, an ambition it has had since launching in 2013 while the founder was a student at University College London.
