Finnish PM under fire for potential conflict of interest over Chemopolis

In Finland, the Prime Minister is coming under fire for potential conflict of interest following investigations into the more than EUR10 million in government funding his former company Chemopolis has received along with a major buyout last year by a state-owned energy company despite the firm never having had commercial success. The Prime Minister’s adult children are still shareholders in the company via an investment holding company. Several biorefineries using the company’s technology over been announced over the past decade but none have yet been built.
