Renewable Developments Australia close to start first of five ethanol plants

In Australia, Renewable Developments Australia has launched a tender to supply the ethanol it will produce from the first of five ethanol facilities planned in Queensland, using sugarcane and sweet sorghum. The 190 million liter per year facility is located near the town of Charters Towers and has come to the final stages of financial close thanks to the Australian Renewable Energy Agency. The ethanol is intended to supply the blending mandates in both Queensland and New South Wales.
