Dalby biorefinery running at 100% on back of Queensland’s E10 mandate

In Australia, the Dalby biorefinery producing ethanol from grain sorghum has pulled back from the edge of disaster thanks to the implementation of the E10 blending policy in Queensland and has been running at full capacity ever since it came online earlier this month. With expected demand of 200,000 metric tons of sorghum this year, at least one supplying farmer sees it as a way to reduce competition for other grain suppliers by ensuring dedicated supply to the ethanol plant.
