Brazilian ethanol sales fall further in December

In Brazil, UNICA said hydrous ethanol sales fell by more than 20% on the year in December to 1.13 billion liters. Even though anhydrous sales also fell, it was as drastic as hydrous at 906.52 million liters from 936.54 million liters last year. Less than 75 million liters of the more than 2 billion liters sold during the month were exported. As the sugarcane crush wound down for the season, production during the second half of the month reached about 167 million liters.
