Easy Energy Systems developing on-farm biorefineries

In Minnesota, Easy Energy Systems is working with farmers to develop and install small-scale on-farm biorefineries with the capacity to produce ethanol, n-butanol, and with the help of Iowa State University, soon cellulosic n-butanol will also be available. Byproducts come along with the systems as well. The company’s engineers are working with 47 different feedstocks to test their viability economically as well as technically in the systems though common are sorghum, sugar beet and even wasted fruit and vegetables.
