Indonesia looks to secure domestic biofuel supplies in light of Trump presidency

In Indonesia, the government is taking a cue from the election of US President Donald Trump to try to curb imports of fossil fuel among other products because it expects the global economy to shift in response to his policies. As the US reduces its oil imports and tries boost exports of gas, demand patterns with shift and impact the Indonesian economy. Already the country is meant to blend 20% biodiesel but reducing imports of all kinds will now become a priority. Farmers could potentially increase palm oil yields by four-fold with the correct investment.
