February 8, 2017 |

In the Netherlands, PricewaterhouseCoopers has released an in-depth study investigating the biofuel fraud that saw Nidera lose nearly $200 million over three years due to a rogue trader. The 250-page report that investigated more than 2,000 biodiesel transactions, seen by investigative news website “Follow the Money,” showed extensive administrative chaos that touched every part of the biodiesel business from logistics and freight to storage and mislabeling. The company didn’t comment on the report as there is currently litigation ongoing about the case.
