Biofuels Nigeria Ltd. signs deal for $16.5 million biodiesel plant in Kogi state

In Nigeria, Biofuels Nigeria Ltd. has signed an agreement with Kogi state for the offtake of a proposed $16.5 million 100,000 liter per day biodiesel plant. The company has been producing biodiesel from used cooking oil for more than a decade and has been working to develop biodiesel from jatropha. The government’s strategy to push for jatropha biodiesel is aimed at helping to offset expensive refined fuel imports are most of its oil is processed outside of the country.
