European biodiesel premiums fall to six month lows

In the Netherlands, European biodiesel premiums fell to six month lows at $432/ton for FAME 0 and $450.25/ton for RME last week in the face of falling vegetable oil prices globally. Low veg oil prices have combined with low river levels on the Rhine, meaning that stocks can’t move out from the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region and in stead are weighing further on prices. On Monday, river levels would only allow for 800 tons of product to be loaded onto ships, not enough to justify shipments.
