February 22, 2017 |

In Thailand, Bangchak Petroleum is investing in a feasibility study looking a project with an unidentified strategic partner to add value to its methyl ester and ethanol production rather than remain subject to the whims of commodity market for fuels. A deal should be announced in mid-2017. The company currently produces 710,000 liters per day of methyl ester for supply to the biodiesel industry and 130,000 liters per day of ethanol. It continues to invest in other renewables such as 600MW of solar when its latest project comes online.
