County approves LOI with Elite Octane to move forward on ethanol facility

In Iowa, the Elite Octane project set for Atlantic has been pulled from the brink after the Cass County Board of Commissioners approved a letter of intent with the project’s developers, agreeing to invest $4.4 million in infrastructure improvements including roads and a pipeline to transport gray water from the community’s wastewater treatment plant for use by the ethanol facility. An agreement on tax rebates and assessment easements have also been included in the deal that is currently under review by attorneys on both sides before signing.
